5 reasons the new V-200 is perfect for your veterinary surgery

Marsden’s range of veterinary scales are used by hundreds of vets in the UK, as well as by shelters, kennels and pet hotels. They’re also used by notable charities including Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Veterans with Dogs and the RSPCA.
This week we’ve introduced a new animal scale - the Marsden V-200 - which is perfect for weighing pets in these environments.
There are a number of features that are exclusive to the V-200, and we see it as a particularly useful scale for veterinary surgery waiting rooms. But what sets it apart from the other scales in our range, and why should you consider it? This blog post explains.
- Large, bright display
A distinctive feature of the V-200 is the scale’s large, bright display which show readings in bright red, 32mm high digits. The indicator has a wall mounting bracket so the weight display can be viewed at eye level.
- Easy to use
The scale has many functions designed to make weighing easier - if you’re a veterinary surgery, visiting pet owners will be able to use this scale with ease. For example, the scale can also be set so that it stays switched on throughout the day - meaning pet owners, keen to keep their pet a healthy weight, can pop into your surgery and weigh their dog without requiring assistance from your staff.
There’s a Tare function too. This means any unwanted weight can be removed. The V-200 is unit switchable, so weight readings can display in kg or lb.
- Optional printer
The V-200 features an optional printer, so pet owners can go away with a record of their pet’s weight - and you can keep a copy for your records.
- Large base
Like our V-150 and V-250 veterinary scales, the V-200 boasts a large stainless steel base, making these ideal dog scales. This can be wiped down easily to keep hygienic, and a non-slip mat is provided too.
- Animal weighing mode
This scale features an Animal Weighing Mode which reduces fluctuations in the weight reading. This is useful given a pet’s tendency to move around on the scale.
The V-200 is powered by rechargeable battery for 50 hours’ continuous use. It has a built in carry handle and wheels so it can be taken wherever it is needed - this is useful for vet surgeons who do not want to buy a separate scale for each consulting room.
The V-200 will be in stock soon, but can find out more information on the scale here.
