What is the JDI?
The Jadever JDI is an easy to use, touchscreen, digital weighing indicator compatible with a range of platforms, u-frames, drive-thru’s, beams and bench scales. With touchscreen operation, label and tally roll printing options and USB/RS-232 connectivity, it is the ultimate digital weighing system for today’s industry.
What are the key features of the JDI Indicator?
The JDI indicator is extremely versatile, and has a large number of features that have been designed to try and help improve weighing processes as well as been equipped with the ability to automate various tasks.
A key benefit of the JDI indicator is the ability to connect the indicator to a printer and print sticky labels. Using the touchscreen indicator, these labels can be customised and setup in the format you require. Barcodes can also be created using the indicator and added to the print-outs.
The JDI also features from an internal inventory system. This software provides information on stock in/out, inventory (query, status, quantity, category and statistics) and provides management information for suppliers, clients, stock and warehouse staff.
The indicator has an internal memory for information such as unit weights. A built-in hi/lo alarm means set targets can be reached, and accumulation function enables the user to calculate the number of weights. The Tare function can be used to remove unwanted weights.
The Jadever JDI-800 is also dual channel, meaning it can connect to two weighing platforms simultaneously. As well as this, the JDI features an external interface for connection to an audio device, mouse or keyboard, making it easier for the user to operate.
How can weight data be transferred from the scale to a PC?
The JDI indicator comes with two RS-232 outputs and four USB ports as standard, which makes this indicator an ideal solution for data transfer.
To transfer the data from the JDI to a PC, press the M+ key each time a weight is added to the scale to accumulate the data. When the final weight has been added, press the MR key and the display will show weight, date/time and an ID number for the weight. To send the data to the USB memory stick, press the export button on the indicator.
Once the data has transferred onto the USB memory stick, unplug the memory stick and insert it into the USB port on your PC. Data can then be added to spreadsheet or database for recordkeeping.
How can I print labels from the scale?
Once the JDI-800 has registered a weight, the data can then be transferred to an external printer via one of the RS-232 or USB ports. Either a labels or tally roll printer can be set up and customised so they display exactly the information you want to record; multiple labels templates are also available.
