What is the ATX Series?
The Shimadzu ATX Series is a highly precise analytical balance designed to weigh items within a sub-milligram range. This version of the ATX is Class I Approved for reliable weight readings when the application dictates that an approved balance is used. This precision lab balance has UniBloc technology for high accuracy weighing with instant results and WindowsDirect technology for recording weights. It also features internal automatic calibration, to maintain the balance’s weighing accuracy, year after year.
How accurate is a balance?
Analytical balance scales are weighing scales with extreme high accuracy, designed for weighing very small quantities in a sub-milligram range.
Before ordering, consider what the balance will be used for, the materials being used and the the quantity being weighed. The ATX Series has graduations to 0.001g (0.1mg).
How can weight readings be recorded?
As standard, every Shimadzu balance from Marsden comes with WindowsDirect software. This software allows you to connect the balance to your PC, and when Print is pressed the weight information is sent to an open document, such as an Excel file.
All that’s needed to connect the balance to your PC is an I/O to RS-232 cable (not included).
Why should I choose the ATX Series?
If you need an analytical balance scale for highly precise sub-milligram weighing, choose the ATX Series.
This professional Shimadzu Class I Approved balance scale has automatic internal calibration, meaning the scale can be calibrated with just the press of a button. External calibration weights can be used for span calibration.
The ATX Series features a wind chamber to protect the surface of the scale, ensuring weight readings are precise and unaffected by the environment.
A Piece Counting function means batch weighing is easy; the scale can count multiple identical items quickly without them needing to be counted by hand. Upto five different sample weights can be easily entered, stored and recalled for later use. The comparator function allows the user to compare samples to target values or pass/fail criteria.
Menu settings on the scale can be protected by a password. This can be set by the user. Then, each time the button is pressed for the operation menu, the password will have to be entered.
