What is the UF-SS-I-400SS?
The Marsden UF-SS-I-400SS is a fully waterproof stainless steel U frame scale. It features a durable, IP68-rated stainless steel U frame - fitted with IP68 loadcells - and an IP68-certified, easy to use, stainless steel indicator. The indicator has a large, clear LCD display and simple functions for easy weighing in harsh environments.
What does the scale’s IP rating mean?
The IP rating refers to the weighing scale’s level of protection. The first digit refers to the scale’s protection against dust, with the second signifying protection against water and other liquids.
Scales with IP65 rating are protected from moisture when wiped down with a damp cloth. IP67 rated scales have greater protection and are usually referred to as splashproof. IP68 scales - like the UF-SS-I-400SS - are fully waterproof, built for use in the most punishing environments. You can read more here.
What are the benefits of stainless steel U frame scales?
Stainless steel scales are robust, hard wearing and long lasting. The indicator and scale are fully waterproof meaning they can withstand spillages. They are suitable for the most harsh environments, including food factories, breweries, fishmongers’ shops and more.

Marsden’s IP68 stainless steel U frame scales feature 304 food grade, fully waterproof stainless steel. Not only can these U frames withstand spillages but can be also be washed down.

The UF-SS-I-400SS is very easy to use, with readings clearly displayed on the 50mm high LCD display. A display backlight can be switched on or off depending on your needs. It’s designed for easy weighing of pallets , and with handle and wheels fitted the scale can be moved around your premises and stored away when not in use. The rechargeable battery provides 50 hours of use from a full charge.
The scale features Tare, Gross and Zero functions. A wall bracket is supplied for mounting the indicator.
