What is the M-410BT Baby Scale?
The Marsden M-410BT baby scale is a portable and lightweight medical scale for weighing babies, toddlers and children. This 50kg capacity scale is fitted with Bluetooth connectivity, which means you can send weight information wirelessly to a database.
This easy to use scale features a secure, hygienic slide on/off baby weighing pan. When the weighing pan is removed, the scale is suitable for children to stand on.
What is a Class III Approved scale?
The M-410BT is a Class III Approved baby scale. Class III Approved scales are built, tested, verified and calibrated to meet specific standards set by the NAWI directive. It states all scales ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved.
The testing of Class III Approved medical scales is a far more rigorous process than weighing scales that are not approved, to ensure reliability, accuracy and repeatability.
Additionally, the M-410BT is MDD Approved, meaning it is approved under the Medical Devices Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC).
How do wireless scales work?
Marsden wireless scales like the M-410BT are fitted with a Bluetooth module. When a baby or child is on the scale, the weight reading, once stabilised, will transmit from the scale to another device or to a database.
Currently, Marsden does not provide software for receiving data from wireless scales.
