What is a Class III Approved scale?

Class III Approved weighing scales are legal for medical use when weighing patients for monitoring, treatment and diagnosis purposes. A Class III scale will undergo thousands of tests to ensure it's reliable, accurate and provides repeatable readings. Non approved weighing scales do not undergo the same level of testing.

Class III Approved weighing scales can be identified by an 'M' logo, usually found on the scale's data plate.

Why are the benefits of a stainless steel bed weigher?

Stainless steel scales are chosen for their strength and durability. IP68 certification means the platform can be washed down to keep it hygienic. They are also more durable than their mild steel equivalents and capable of withstanding constant use.

In most cases the M-920 is used to weigh patients as they arrive at hospital. Patients can be weighed on a trolley or in a bed, with the Tare and Preset Tare functions used to remove the weight of the bed or trolley from the reading.

Why should I choose the M-920?

The M-920's indicator has Hold, BMI and Tare functions, plus a full numeric keypad and two screens so that BMI can be calculated easily by inputting a patient's height. The Tare function enables the weight of the bed or trolley to be deducted, and Preset Tare means you can save the weight of a bed or trolley into the indicator's memory. Then, simply roll the patient and trolley onto the scale, press Preset Tare, and the weight of the patient only is displayed on the screen.

The indicator can be mounted on a column or to a wall with the optional indicator bracket. An optional printer is available for creating hard copies of patient weights. The scale also has optional Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, which means it can be set up to transfer patient weight and BMI data to a central database. Please contact us for more information about these options.
