What is a Class III Approved scale?

Class III Approved weighing scales are legal for use when weighing patients for monitoring, treatment and diagnosis purposes. Class III Approved scales are subject to thousands of tests to ensure they are reliable, accurate and provide repeatable readings.

Class III Approved weighing scales can only weigh patients in kilos, and can be identified by an 'M' logo, usually found on the scale's data plate.

How are bed and trolley weighers typically used?

The M-910 is ideal for use in accident and emergency departments.

In most cases the M-910 is used to weigh patients as they arrive at hospital. This scale is particularly useful for weighing patients who cannot stand.

The M-910 will typically be placed in a permanent location, with the indicator mounted on the wall, so that weighing a patient becomes part of the admission process.

Why should I choose the M-910?

The indicator has Hold, BMI and Tare functions. The Tare function enables the weight of the bed to be deducted, and Preset Tare means you can save the weight of a bed or trolley into the indicator's memory. Therefore, simply roll the patient and trolley onto the scale, press Preset Tare, and the weight of the patient only is displayed on the screen.

The indicator can be mounted on a column or to a wall using the optional bracket. An optional printer is available to have a printed copy of the patient's weight.

The scale has optional Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, which means it can be set up to transfer patient weight and BMI data to a central database. Please contact the Marsden team for information regarding patient data capture.
