The M-425 is the same base model as our highly popular M-420, however the M-425 has a remote display. The remote display enables the user to keep the weight reading discreet in sensitive areas, such as schools. It also has a 220kg capacity and is accurate to 50g below 150kg.
The M-425’s separate plug-in indicator makes this floor scale perfect for areas where weight readings are sensitive and need to be kept private, such as GP surgeries, schools and weight management programmes. School nurses like the scale’s ease of use an 50g accuracy, which has also made it a particularly popular scale for the National Child Measurement Programme, NHS CHAMPS child weighing initiative and Child Health Surveillance Programme.
The Marsden M-425 is a Class III Approved scale which means it has been built, tested, verified and calibrated to a specific standard. The NAWI directive which states all scales ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved. To become Class III Approved, a scale must go through rigorous testing by an EU notified body. It is standard for medical scales used in hospitals, GP surgeries and hospitals to be Class III Approved.
Additionally, the M-425 is MDD Approved, meaning it has passed approval tests as a medical device under the Medical Devices Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC).
If you need a portable, highly robust weighing scale for weight sensitive environments, choose the M-425. This medical floor scale includes a Hold function, meaning the patient’s weight will freeze on the display even if they move about on the scale. A BMI function allows you to calculate a patient’s BMI by entering their height.
