Frequently Asked Questions
Class III Approved medical scales are built, tested, verified and calibrated to meet a specific standard - determined by the NAWI directive. Scales which are ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved. These scales have been rigorously tested by an EU notified body, so you can be assured of its reliability, accuracy and repeatability.
Bariatric scales from Marsden have higher capacities than standard scales. This makes them an ideal solution if your weighing scales will need to weigh larger patients. In the case of the M-530, patients up to 300kg or 500kg can be weighed, depending on the option you choose from the drop-down menu above.
An additional benefit of the M-530, aside from the low profile weighing platform that makes the scale easy to step onto, is its separate indicator. This is ideal for weight sensitive environments, because it means the weight reading is more discreet. It also means it is easier for the person taking the weight reading to see the display, as the indicator can be handheld.
Choose the Marsden M-530 if you need a portable, robust, easy to use digital weighing scale for weighing bariatric patients
A rechargeable battery means this bariatric scale can be used anywhere regardless of where the nearest plug socket is. An AC adaptor is provided for charging.
The indicator has two screens which show weight, height and BMI. Using the numeric keypad on the indicator a height can be manually entered and then BMI is automatically calculated. Other features include Hold which allows you to stabilise the weight reading, even after the patient has stepped off the scale.
An optional printer is available to provide a hard copy of weight, height and BMI data. Also, Bluetooth connectivity is available to transfer data from the scale central databases.
