BSA stands for Body Surface Area and is the calculated surface area of the human body. For non-medical use, BSA provides another metric on which to calculate body health. It can be used alongside weight and BMI readings to give a clearer picture of how healthy a person’s body size is.
The M-565 is a high accuracy, Class III Approved professional medical scale. Weighing scales intended for medical use must be Class III Approved to ensure accuracy, reliability and repeatability when weighing patients. Whilst weighing scales for slimming groups, gyms and sports clubs are not required to be Class III Approved, the M-565 provides much greater accuracy assurance than your average non approved scale because it is based on a Class III Approved medical scale.
As well as BMI and BSA calculation, this scale features Hold (to stabilise the weight reading on the display) and Tare (to remove unwanted weight from the reading, such as shoes). All features are accessible via the five buttons on the indicator.
The LCD weight display is large and clear, and a separate indicator means the weight display is more discreet. The scale is powered by 6x AA batteries (which will provide up to 180 hours of use) or can be powered using the mains adaptor which is supplied.
An integrated carry handle makes the scale extra portable, and a carry case can also be purchased.
