Frequently Asked Questions
A Class III Approved medical scale is a high precision weighing device that has been built, tested, verified and calibrated in order to meet a specific standard. The NAWI directive states that all scales ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved. Approved scales are subject to rigorous testing by an EU notified body, which provides the user with assurance of accuracy and reliability.
If you need a high accuracy, high capacity weighing scale to weigh patients who may need support when standing, choose the M-800.
Designed for bariatric and geriatric patients, this scale makes getting a weight reading easy and effortless. Two sturdy handrails provide stability, and no matter how much pressure is put on the handrails, they’ll support the patient. The platform is also extremely low profile making ensure all patients can comfortably step on and off the scale.
The indicator on the M-800 has three displays which show weight, height and BMI. By using the full numeric keypad, a height can be manually entered and then BMI can be quickly and easily calculated.
Other features include Hold meaning you have an accurate weight reading each and every time the scale is used.
An optional printer can be added for printed record of the patient’s weight, height and BMI data along with the time and date the readings were taken. Alternately, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options allow wireless patient weight data to be sent to your database.
