Frequently Asked Questions
A balance scale is a weighing scale with a low capacity and very high accuracy, often weighing in the sub-milligram range. Balances are commonly used in laboratories, and by paint manufacturers for weighing out minute amounts of pigment.
This Shimadzu balance is the most affordable in our Shimadzu range. This scale can switch units - including gram, milligram, carat, pounds and ounces. There is also a Piece Counting mode for counting out multiple identical small items, perfect, for example, weighing jewellery parts. Up to five different samples can be entered, stored and recalled for future use.
Using the Hi/Go/Low you can compare samples to target values or pass/fail criteria, with the display clearly indicating the results.
