5 Reasons To Have a Marsden Service and Maintenance Contract

For over 95 years, Marsden have been servicing and maintaining weighing equipment. When Marsden first opened its doors for the first time in 1926, this family run business understood that their obligation and support did not finish when the product left the door. That is why they made the bold move to develop a service team, which at the time operated out of a lock-up in Paddington, London. Over the past 95 years, the service department here at Marsden has evolved drastically and we are now one of the leading providers for metrology service and maintenance in the UK.

As our company continues to grow and evolve, the number of new service enquiries which we receive is increasing. For this reason, we wanted to put together a blog post, answering some of the main questions regarding our service and maintenance contacts. As well as some of the main reasons and benefits why people opt to work with Marsden for their servicing requirements. Below are 5 of the main reasons, however you can see the full scope of our work over on the Marsden website.

1) Reliable and knowledgeable service engineers

Here at Marsden, we pride ourselves on the knowledge and experience of our service engineers. We have an expert team of nationwide engineers with vast experience within the weighing industry. One of our team members has been here for over 50 years and has a wealth of knowledge. All of our service engineers undergo a period of initial training, as well as further training and education from the UK Weighing Federation. This process enables Marsden engineers to carry out work to the highest industry standards.

2) Flexible packages for all budgets

We understand that many companies in this day and age are restricted heavily by budgets with savings at the forefront of our decisions. For this reason, all of our service contracts are 100% transparent. There will be no surprises on your invoices and all charges will be clearly explained and discussed beforehand. We also only charge for the scales which we service - if a scale is not found during your planned visit, you will not be charged.

3) Full asset tracking via our online portal

We understand that even if we are planning and organising your contact, you still want to be able to monitor and track your assets. For this reason, we implemented our state-of-the-art client portal. Every Marsden contract customer gains instant access to the client portal, at no additional fee. On the Marsden client portal you can monitor, download device history and look at invoices. All in one handy location that is incredibly easy to navigate.

4) 4-year warranty as standard on ALL Class III medical scales

Here at Marsden, we know that our products are great quality and built to last. To show our confidence in the items, we offer all of our Class III medical scales with a 4 year warranty as standard. There are no additional fees, no catches and no contacts required. Anybody can reap the rewards of our 4-year warranty scheme. Having a Marsden service and maintenance contact makes it even easier to make a warranty enquiry.

5) Exclusive discounts for contract customers

If you sign up to a Marsden service and maintenance contact, as well as all of the benefits listed above, we will work alongside you to implement a discount scheme. All new contract customers will now receive a 20% discount which will be applied on all Marsden medical scales which are purchased directly. Plus, you will be assigned a Regional Account Manager to help you make informed decisions on new purchases.
