What are Bluetooth scales?
Marsden Bluetooth scales are medically approved weighing scales fitted with a Bluetooth module, that allows the scale to send weight (and height and BMI) data wirelessly to an external device.
Marsden Bluetooth scales are most commonly used in telehealth initiatives, where the simple protocols have meant they can be set up to transmit patient weight to purpose-built capturing software, quickly and easily. It allows a patient to stay at home without having to visit their GP or hospital, with their weight remotely monitored when required. Currently, Marsden does not supply any software to capture the data from the scale.
Many businesses, hospitals and Trusts are now purchasing scales with wireless connectivity in order to ‘future-proof’ them.
