3 reasons why our 'new' B-100 makes weighing even more flexible

The B-100 Waterproof Bench Scale is Marsden’s best-selling bench scale.

In fact, it out-sells almost all the products in our industrial scales range.

Customers choose it because it has an IP68 waterproof rating (check out the video of Dez dropping it in a bucket of water on this page) and because, for accuracy, reliability and ease of use, you’d be hard-pushed to find better-priced portable scales.

This month, however, we’re making the B-100 an even more attractive proposition. If you need your scales to be extra portable, waterproof and you don't have immediate access to mains sockets, you’ll need to take a look at this.

The B-100 is now available as a batteries only portable weighing scale. That means, rather than with an internal rechargeable battery, you can buy the B-100 with a battery compartment for replaceable batteries.

It still has the same popular features as the standard model - IP68 waterproof rating, bright red LED displays front and back, overload protection and a range of capacities/accuracies. Here are three reasons why you should choose the new version of the B-100 when looking for portable scales…

  1. You don’t need to be near a power socket

The fact that the standard B-100 is a rechargeable unit is great - it means buying batteries to keep it going - and it also means you can run the scale off the mains if you’re working next to a power socket.

This attribute is particularly useful if you’re a company using several (or more) B-100s for weighing each day. It’s not going to be easy plugging in a dozen scales for charging every week or two. Instead, when the battery runs down, you can just pop some new batteries in it.

  1.  Work doesn’t need to stop

Not having to plug the scale in, of course, means you can keep working without having to move to a power socket. And you won't have to wait for the scale to recharge.

In turn, it means increased productivity through less down-time. The B-100 is instantly available to use when you need it, whatever the battery status (just make sure you have some AAs available!). What's more, battery power will last at least 200 hours!

  1. It’s one less thing to think about

Which, in turn, means there’s one less thing to think about. For example, if you’re a meat merchant taking the scale to market for check-weighing items (if you need a Trade Approved IP68 retail scale to accompany the B-100 there’s the DS-781SS) you’ll need portable scales. Now you won’t need to remind yourself to charge up your B-100 the night before!

One thing to note for existing B-100 users is the batteries-only B-100 is not compatible with the mains adaptor of the existing model. For technical details of either versions just give us a call.
