What are the benefits of platform scales?

Platform scales are Marsden’s most popular industrial scales - they are strong, durable and perfect for weighing palletised goods. This is an IP68-certified platform scale so can be used in harsh environments. Goods can be loaded onto the platform via fork truck or by pallet truck if this platform scale is ordered with optional ramps.

What is the IP rating?

The Stainless Steel Drive Thru is fitted with IP68 rated load cells. The IP rating refers to protection against water and dust. The first digit (e.g. ‘6’) refers to protection to dust and the second (e.g. ‘8’) is protection against water and other liquids.

IP65 rated scales can be wiped down with a damp cloth. IP67 rated are protected against moisture and can be washed down. IP68 is the highest level of waterproof that Marsden provides and these scales can survive in the most punishing environments. Find out more about IP ratings here.

Why should I choose the Stainless Steel Drive Thru?

Choose the Stainless Steel Drive Thru for accurate, heavy duty weighing in harsh environments. The drive thru platform is IP68 rating so it can be thoroughly washed down after use to keep the scale hygienic. It is widely used in food processing

The platform scale’s base comes in two sizes: 1.2m² or 1.5m².

The 4 x 1000kg IP68 rated loadcells and cables are safely mounted within the structure of the platform, protecting them from damage by fork truck when being moved. A wall bracket is supplied for mounting the indicator.

This weighing platform is available with a wide range of indicators to create a custom weighing device to suit your requirements.
